Valley of the Rogue State Park is immediately off Interstate 5, only 18 miles north of Medford. It makes a convenient stopping place for travelers on the interstate and those wanting to explore southern Oregon. Visitors to the park have easy access to 3 miles of Rogue River shoreline, great for fishing, hiking, and boating. The campground is close enough for day trips to Crater Lake National Park or Oregon Caves National Monument.

Valley of the Rogue State Park Campground has 159 campsites. Of those, 85 sites have full hook-ups, 59 have water and electric hook-ups, and 15 are designated as tent sites. The park also has 8 yurts as well as 3 Group Campsites. Among the amenities at the campgrounds are flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities.
