Promontory Park is on the shore of North Fork Reservoir along the Clackamas River. The park is operated by Portland General Electric. Visitors to the park enjoy the local hiking trails, a playground and children's fishing pond. At the lake are a marina, boat launch ramps and boat rentals.

Promontory Park Campground has 69 campsites for tents or self-contained RVs or trailers. Campsites 4, 5, 23, and 25 have 20-amp electric hook-ups. Weekend reservations must include Friday and Saturday. The campground also has 6 cabins, 11 yomes (a cross between a yurt and a dome), and a group campsite for up to 35 people. A good number of campsites, cabins, and yomes are lakefront.

Key Promontory Park Campground Regulations

  1. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the park campground or day use area.
  2. Pets and tents are not permitted at yome or cabin sites.
  3. Entrance Gates are locked from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  4. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  5. Prevent the spread of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally.
  6. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles and must be attended. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  7. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
