Three C Rock Campground

Three C Rock Campground was named for a Civilian Conservation Corps camp built at the site in the 1930s. The campground is along the South Umpqua River in the Umpqua National Forest, 4 miles from Tiller and 27 from Canyonville. Adjacent to the campground is a picnic area and the trailhead for a short, accessible path to seasonal Cathedral Falls. Three C Rock is one of the rare spots where fishing is allowed on the South Umpqua River. Anglers should check Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations.

Three C Rock Campground has 8 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. All of the sites are first-come, first-served. There is no potable water at the campground.

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.

  • Seek out the many local hiking trails.
  • Find some great OHV trail riding on Beaver Creek Trail, Bunchgrass Meadows Trail, Coffin Butte Trail, and Elk Horn Trail
  • Head out mountain biking on Beaver Creek Trail, Cow Creek Trail, Devil's Flat Trail, Maranath Trail, and others
  • Rent a Forest Service cabin such as Acker Rock Lookout, Butler Butte Cabin, or Whiskey Camp Guard Station
  • Experienced rock climbers, test your skills at Acker Rock or Trail Creek.
  • From Tiller Ranger Station, walk to the historic 1920's era "cupola style" fire lookout.
  • Take the scenic drive along the Myrtle Creek-Canyonville Tour Route.
  • Go swimming at Deer Lick Falls when water levels are safe.
