Pelton Park Campground

Pelton Park Campground is spread along the shore of Lake Simtustus, north of Bend and Redmond, near Madras. The lake is a popular destination for boating and fishing. With a 10 MPH speed limit covering most of the lake, kayakers and paddle boarders enjoy smooth water. The lake does have a small designated water-skiing area. And within the park is a designated swim area. Pelton Park is operated by Portland General Electric. The park includes a campground, a marina store and cafe, kayak and SUP rentals, a launch ramp, and fish cleaning stations.

Pelton Park Campground features 67 campsites, including cabins and yomes (a cross between a yurt and a dome). Some campsites have electric hook-ups, others offer both electric and water connections. A dozen of the sites are waterfront. Most yomes have electricity. Standard yomes sleep 4 in bunkbeds. Eight cabins all have air-conditioning. Two are waterfront. All have electricity. For both yomes and cabins, campers supply their own cooking stove and supplies, along with bedding and toiletries. There are also 2 group sites for up to 36 people per site. On weekends campsites must be reserved for both Friday and Saturday nights.
