Jasper Point Campground is in Jasper Point State Park, adjacent to Prineville Reservoir State Park, 54 road miles east of Bend. Situated in the high desert, the park features a 15-mile-long lake with 43 miles of shoreline. Boat ramps, a designated swim area, and an accessible fishing pier are available. Fishing is excellent for rainbow trout, bass, catfish, crappie, and crayfish. The boat launch ramp is located near the campground. Check the water level in the reservoir to see if it is high enough to use the ramp: Prineville Reservoir Water Level.

Jasper Point Campground is beside the Crooked River arm of the reservoir, 3 miles from the main campground. The small, quiet campground has 28 campsites, all with electric and water hook-ups. Space is available for RVs, trailers, and tents. All the sites are first-come, first-served. Even so, details about every campsite are available online at the reservation website. There is one cabin for up to 3 people which can be reserved.

Wheelchair accessible sites: #6, 8, restroom and shower adjacent to campsites (part of day-use area, but right next to accessible campsites)

Opening and closing dates for some campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths.

Accessible Sites

Designated Accessible sites are usually reserved for people with disabilities who have a vehicle displaying an accessible parking placard or license plate.

Key Jasper Point Campground Regulations

  1. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No use of generators during quiet hours.
  2. Tents must fit within the designated campsite.
  3. Prevent the spread of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally.
  4. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles and must be attended. No firewood may be collected in the park.
  5. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
