Edson Creek Campground

Edson Creek Campground rests near the Sixes River, upstream from Cape Blanco. The campground is operated by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The Sixes River is known for its run of Chinook salmon and steelhead. Deep in the surrounding forests are bears, mountain lions, and bobcats; but they are rarely seen. Campers should be wary of poison oak growing in the area.

Edson Creek Campground is in an open meadow along Edson Creek near its confluence with the Sixes River. Mature alder and myrtle trees flank the meadow. The 27 campsites at Edson Creek are listed as first-come, first=served. Of these campsites, 16 are designated for RVs, trailers, and tents, including 2 double sites. Three more sites are for tents only. Another 5 are wheelchair accessible sites for RVs, trailers, and tents.

In addition, there are 5 group campsites, each of which can accommodate up to 25 people and 4 vehicles. The group sites are located upstream from the main campground. Group sites must be reserved.
