Powers County Park Campground

Powers County Park rests in a beautiful setting of forested mountains of the Coast Range, on the outskirts of the town of Powers. The small community of Powers is 18 miles south of Highway 42. Campers at Powers County Park have access to a large day-use area with picnic shelters, volleyball, tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, a softball field, and a playground. A man-made lake is stocked with bass, crappie, and catfish. Non-gasoline powered boats are allowed on the lake.

Powers County Park Campground has 70 campsites in a lush forest and meadow setting. Forty of the sites are designated as RV campsites and include electric and water hook-ups. The other 30 tent sites can be used by RVs, trailers, and tents. The RV hook-up sites can be reserved online, while the tent sites are first-come, first-served. A minimum 2-night stay is required on weekends and holidays.

  • Head to the park pond for fishing and non-motorized boating.
  • Attend White Cedar Days, held during the 4th of July. A Spirit of the Siskiyous Celebration and Native American Pow-wow, is planned for the week before the 4th of July.
  • Walk to South Fork of the Coquille River for summer swimming and fishing. Steelhead fishing is great in the winter.
  • Explore hiking trails in surrounding mountains.
  • Stop in at Elk Creek Falls Observation Site, south on County Rd. 219.
  • Coquille Myrtle Grove State Natural Site has a sandy beach along the Coquille River, great in summer for swimming and floating in innertubes.
