Cottage Grove Lake

Pine Meadows Campground

Pine Meadows Campground is set on the eastern shore of 1,156-acre Cottage Grove Lake. Visitors are treated with sightings of rare birds like the yellow-breasted chat and the purple martin. Cottage Grove Lake is popular for boating, fishing, and swimming. Due to levels of mercury, bass caught in the reservoir should not be consumed.

Pine Meadows Campground contains 95 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. South of the main campground are 15 primitive sites for self-contained RVs or tents. Few amenities are found at the primitive sites. The campground is surrounded by a mixture of marshland, grasslands, and conifers. No alcohol is permitted in the campground or around the lake. A minimum 2-night reservation is required on weekends and 3 nights on holiday weekends.

A nearby Primitive Campground contains 15 campsites, vault toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, and fire rings. Reserve these sites on the reservation website as sites A - O. The camping area is open from mid-May through mid-September. Two vehicles are included in the reservation, but no extra vehicles are permitted.
