Humbug Campground is along the Breitenbush River in the Willamette National Forest. Visitors to the campground enjoy fishing for rainbow trout in the river. Youngsters like wading along the shore when the river levels are safe. Four miles downstream the Breitenbush empties into Detroit Lake, a popular recreation spot.

Humbug Campground has 22 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Six of the sites have pull-though driveways. Mature pines offer good shade to many of the campsites.

From Highway 22 at Detroit, turn onto Breitenbush Road (FSR 46).

Key Humbug Campground Regulations

  1. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  2. Prevent the spread of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally.
  3. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles and must be attended. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  4. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
  5. Secure food and scented items from bears.
