Southshore Campground

Southshore Campground is on the shore of Detroit Lake in the Willamette National Forest. The 9-mile-long lake is popular for water skiing, boating, and fishing. Anglers do well fishing for rainbow trout, catfish, and kokanee and Chinook salmon. A boat ramp and dock are found next to the campground.

Southshore Campground has 24 sites for RVs, trailers, and tents, along with another 8 walk-in tent sites. A mix of wooded and open sites are available. Some campsites are lakefront. Most sites can be reserved ahead of arrival, and some are available first-come, first-served.

Key Southshore Campground Regulations

  1. Mooring of boats is not allowed at the dock in the day use area.
  2. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  3. Prevent the spread of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally.
  4. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles and must be attended. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  5. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
  6. Secure food and scented items from bears.
