Eagle Creek Overlook Group Camp rests on a bluff overlooking the spectacular Columbia River Gorge. The campground is 2 miles east of Bonneville, on the north side of the highway. The standard campground Eagle Creek Campground is located on the south side of the highway. Visitors to the group camp enjoy hiking the Eagle Creek Trail past waterfalls and along basalt cliffs. Experience spectacular views of the Columbia River Gorge from Wauna Point or Buck Point. All the wonders of the Columbia River Gorge are easy to reach from the campground.

Eagle Creek Overlook Group Camp can accommodate up to 90 people and 40 vehicles, including trailers up to 22 feet. Amenities include a covered picnic shelter, picnic tables, campfire rings, and portable toilets. For the 2020 season there is no potable water.

Eagle Creek Overlook Camp Location: Eastbound on Interstate 84, take the first exit after the tunnel (Exit 41, two miles east of Bonneville). Go left after the off-ramp and pass under the freeway. Westbound on I-84 take Exit 40, pass under the highway and then go east on I-84 to Exit 41.

Key Eagle Creek Overlook Group Campground Regulations

  1. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles and must be attended. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  2. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
  3. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  4. Prevent the introduction of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally.
  5. Visitors are required to do some minimal cleaning before leaving, including sweeping the shelter, leaving grounds free of litter, placing garbage in proper receptacles, raking areas around campsites, extinguishing all fires, cleaning sinks and toilets if needed, and cleaning table tops.
