Farewell Bend Campground

Farewell Bend Campground is sheltered by old-growth forest along the Rogue River in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The campground is operated by concessionaire Rogue Recreation. Visitors to the campground have an abundance of natural wonders to explore within a short drive from the campground. Crater Lake National Park is a few miles to the east, while just down river from the campground are Rogue River Falls, Rogue River Gorge, Natural Bridge, and scenic trails along the river.

Farewell Bend Campground has 61 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents arranged in two loops near the river. A wonderful children's play area is a popular feature of the facility. Some campsites may be reserved, others are kept as first-come, first-served sites.

Reach the campground by taking Highway 62 for 58 miles northeast from Medford.

General Camping Information

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.

  • Don't miss the nearby and easy hike out to Natural Bridge on the Rogue River. A paved trail with viewpoints, interpretive signs, and a footbridge make for an enjoyable excursion.
  • Make the drive to spectacular Crater Lake.

  • Try mountain biking around Fish Lake or along Lower South Fork Trail.
