Huckleberry Mountain Campground

Huckleberry Mountain Campground is in the Rogue-Siskiyou National Forest, 18 miles northeast of Prospect and about 15 miles from Crater Lake National Park. Visitors to the area appreciate the secluded location and the proximity of good OHV trails. The rough road leading into the campground deters some travelers.

Huckleberry Mountain Campground has 25 well-separated campsites. All the sites can accommodate tents and very small RVs and trailers. The sites are first-come, first-served. There is no potable water at the campground.

General Camping Information

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.

  • Try mountain biking around Fish Lake or along Lower South Fork Trail.

  1. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  2. Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times. At night they must be kept in a vehicle or tent.
  3. Help avoid the spread of invasive insects by obtaining firewood locally.
  4. Only build campfires in the provided campfire ring.
