Fort Stevens State Park sits at the mouth of the Columbia River where the fort served as a harbor defense site from the Civil War through World War II.
Today visitors to the enjoy touring a historic military fort, swimming in a freshwater lake, beach combing, hiking wildlife viewing, and visiting a historic shipwreck. In the summer tour underground through a WW II gun battery command center and other historic military installations.
Fort Stevens State Park Campground features 174 full hook-ups sites, 302 sites with electric and water hook-ups, and 6 tent sites. A number of the RV sites are pull-throughs. The campground also has 15 Yurts, 11 deluxe Cabins, and a hiker/biker camp.

Reservations are available from 1 day up to 9 months in advance of arrival date.

Fort Stevens State Park Yurts and Cabins
Fort Stevens State Park Campground offers 15 Yurts with electric heating. Although Yurts are listed for 8 occupants, there are only mattresses for 5 people. Trailers and RVs are not allowed at Yurt sites. Tent sites are available at all Yurts except for Y2, Y10, Y11, and Y17. There is no smoking or cooking in Yurts. Some Yurts allow pets. Visitors must bring their own bedding.
The campground also has 11 Deluxe Cabins available. The cabins feature electric heating and lighting, TV/DVD combo (but no cable), hot running water, a refrigerator, and a microwave. The cabins also include a bathroom with a shower, table and chairs, and a futon and bunk bed. Visitors bring their own bedding. While the occupancy limit is 8, mattresses are only supplied for 5 guests. All cabins have small tent spaces except for K2 and K3. Some cabins are pet friendly. No RVs, pick-up campers, or camping trailers are allowed by the cabins. No smoking is permitted in the cabins.

Visit Coffenbury Lake with 2 swimming areas, a boat ramp, picnic spots, and restrooms. Two small neighboring lakes are popular for fishing and canoeing.
Explore the turn-of-the-century, concrete coast artillery gun batteries.

At low tide, drive out to see the century-old shipwreck of the Peter Iredale near the South Jetty.
Hike the 2-mile trail around Coffenbury Lake for views of the water. Also try the mile-long trail from the lake to Battery Russell. Connect to these trails from a nature trail east of the campground.
Key Fort Stevens State Park and Campground Regulations
Campfires may only be lit in provided fire rings.
Bicycle riders under the age of 16 must wear helmets.
Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
A curfew for visitors under age 18 is in effect from midnight to 5:00 AM.
Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times. At night they must be kept in a vehicle or tent.
Motor vehicle travel on the beach is prohibited north of the Peter Iredale beach access to the South Jetty from noon to midnight May 1 - September 15. Travel is permitted in this
area at all other times.
