River Bend County Park Campground

River Bend County Park is along the upper South Santiam River near Foster and Sweet Home. River Bend is one of the newest among Linn County's parks. The 90-acre park offers river access, hiking, fishing, and swimming (when water levels are safe). Two playgrounds are available to entertain children. Nearby is a playing field for all kinds of sports.

River Bend County Park Campground has 84 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Water and electric hook-ups are available at 74 sites, while the other 10 sites have no hook-ups. The campground also has a Group Camp and 4 Basic Cabins. A 3-night minimum stay is required for Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend reservations. Two nights are required for other weekends and on the 4th of July holiday.

Three yurts, which sleep 5 each, are also available. No pets are allowed in yurts. Neither are tents permitted at the yurt site. Yurts include propane heat, electricity, a bunk bed (twin bed over a full), a futon, and a nearby water spigot. The smaller yurt had a charcoal BBQ, while the larger two yurts each have a mini-fridge and microwave. A restroom is nearby. For an additional fee it is possible to add an RV to the site, increasing site capacidty to 8.

River Bend County Park Cabins

River Bend County Park Campground has 4 rustic cabins available that can sleep up to 6. Cabins include a double bed and a bunk bed along with a futon couch. An electric heater and fan are in each cabin. Cabins do not have running water or restrooms. Those features are nearby. Visitors must bring their own bedding, towels, and cooking and eating utensils. No pets are allowed in or around the cabins. Reservations must be made through the park office in Albany (541) 967-3917.

River Bend County Park Campground includes a group campsite for up to 50 people. The group site is made up of 6 campsites with water and electric hook-ups. There is also a group meeting area.

Key River Bend County Park Campground Regulations

  1. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  2. Help prevent the spread of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally. No firewood may be collected in the park.
  3. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  4. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
