Notice: "Yellowbottom will be closed to all access for the foreseeable future. As BLM recreation staff has inspected the campground ahead of its spring opening, they have found several potential safety hazards. BLM regrets to have to cancel all reservations for 2023. . ."

Yellowbottom Campground is along Quartzville Creek in Marion County, northeast of Green Peter Reservoir. Visitors have access to scenic Quartzville Creek and a number of local hiking trails. Some try panning for gold. The campground is operated by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

Yellowbottom Campground has 22 campsites for tents and smaller RVs or trailers. A forest of mature conifers provides nice shade. All the sites are first-come, first-served. The campground operates with a solar water system for drinking water.

Key Yellowbottom Campground Regulations

  1. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Do not operate generators during quiet hours.
  2. Help prevent the spread of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally. Firewood may not be collected but it is available for sale in the park.
  3. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  4. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.

  • Tour the East Linn Museum in Sweet Home.
