Williamson River Campground

Williamson River Campground is along the Williamson River in the Fremont-Winema National Forest, about 7 miles north of Chiloquin. Williamson River Campground neighbors Collier Memorial State Park. Visitors at the campground enjoy excellent fly fishing, hiking and mountain biking. Since the campground is close the Highway 97, it is a popular stopping place for travelers.

Williamson River Campground has 19 first-come, first-served campsites in a sparse forest of Ponderosa pine. Water is provided by two hand pumps. All the campsites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents.

General Camping Information

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.

Key Williamson River Campground Regulations

Help avoid the spread of invasive insects by obtaining firewood locally.
Only build campfires in the provided campfire ring.
Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times. At night they must be kept in a vehicle or tent.
