Cultus Lake Campground

Cultus Lake Campground is on the eastern shore of popular Cultus Lake in the Deschutes National Forest.

Visitors to the campground enjoy boating on 1,146-acre Cultus Lake. Water skiing, wake boarding, jet skiing, and pleasure cruising are all favorites at the lake. Windsurfers and sailors enjoy a nice breeze. Fishing for lake trout, rainbow trout, and brook trout are another common pastime.

Cultus Lake Campground features 55 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. The roads in the campground are not well-suited for large RVs. Many campsites are right on the water. A mature conifer forest provides plenty of shade.

Campground Reservations Make reservations from 4 days up to 6 months in advance of arrival date. Other campsites are available first-come, first-served.

  • Enjoy fishing at Cultus Lake for trophy-size lake trout, along with rainbow and brook trout.
  • Head out on Cultus Lake in your boat for water skiing, jet skiing, wake boarding, and cruising. Also try windsurfing and sailing.
  • Stop by Cultus Lake Resort with a marina, boat rentals, and fishing tackle.
  • Come in time for the Annual Cultus Lake Resort Fish Derby, usually held in late May. The derby is for novice anglers only.
  • Hike into the Three Sisters Wilderness.
  • Hike out the Teddy Lakes Trail using the Winopee Trailhead at Cultus Lake.
  • Drive 34 miles to Mt. Bachelor for scenic chairlift rides, mountain biking, and disc golf.

Key Cultus Lake Campground Regulations

  1. Campfires may only be in campground provided fire pits.
  2. Help prevent the spread of invasive insects by obtaining firewood locally.
  3. Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
  4. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  5. Use of chainsaws is not permitted in the campground.
