Spring Campground

Spring Campground is on the southern shore of Crescent Lake in the Deschutes National Forest.

Visitors to Crescent Lake enjoy boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming, hiking, and mountain biking. At the north end of the lake Crescent Lake Resort has boat rentals and a restaurant. A boat launch ramp is located in the day use section of Spring Campground.

Spring Campground has 69 single campsites for RVs, trailers or tents, including 4 double sites. Five lakeside sites are for tents-only. With widely spaced vegetation, the campground has an open and spacious feeling. Campers find easy access to a wide, sandy beach. At Spring Campground there is also one Group Campsite.

Attractions near Spring Campground: A boat launch ramp is next to the campground. Head to the lake for boating, water skiing, and fishing. Be cautious of brisk afternoon winds. Fish for kokanee, lake trout, rainbow and brown trout, Visit Crescent Lake Resort for boat and mountain bike rentals. Enjoy mountain biking in the area. Drive to nearby Summit Lake. Visit nearby Tandy Bay Picnic Area.

Spring Campground Group Campsite

Twelve of the campsites (#57-68) in Spring Campground can be reserved together as a group site. They are separated from the rest of the campground. The group site can accommodate up to 75 people and 25 vehicles. Group sites can be reserved up to 12 months in advance of arrival date.
Fee: $291 per night.

Attractions and Activities

  • Spend days on the water boating, water skiing, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, or windsurfing.
  • Rent a boat from Crescent Lake Resort.
  • Hike on the Whitefish Creek Trail to Diamond View Lake or take the Windy Lakes Trail.
  • Drive to nearby Odell Lake or Summit Lake.
  • Use the Willamette Pass Trailhead for the Pacific Crest Trail. Hike north to Lower Rosary Lake or south toward Diamond Peak.
  • Take the 2.5-mile loop Diamond Creek Falls Trail providing views of Lower Diamond Creek Falls and Salt Creek Canyon. Be more adventurous and continue on to the upper falls.

Key Spring Campground Regulations

  1. Campfires may only be in campground provided fire pits.
  2. Help prevent the spread of invasive insects by obtaining firewood locally.
  3. Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
  4. Use of chainsaws is not permitted in the campground.
  5. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
