Longbow Organization Camp

Longbow Organization Camp is a unique group camp located in the Willamette National Forest and operated by Linn County.

The camp is on the South Santiam River, 21 miles east of Sweet Home. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, Longbow Organization Camp is situated on 10 acres and features alpine shelters rather than campsites. A favorite hike is along the old Santiam Wagon Road leading to the historic Walton Ranch site.

Longbow Organization Camp is designated for group use only. Each of the log shelters can sleep up to 8 people, making for a maximum of 48 people in the shelters (the camp maximum is 50 people). No RVs, trailers, or tents are permitted at the camp. Longbow camp includes a covered cooking area with a fireplace. A natural amphitheater with a central campfire ring provides a great spot for group gatherings.
