Whispering Pine Horse Camp is in the Deschutes National Forest, 10 miles southwest of Sisters, Oregon. Equestrians like the camp for its proximity to great riding trails in the Three Sisters Wilderness Area.

Whispering Pine Horse Camp offers 9 campsites for those with horses. Each site has a 4-horse stall. Creek water is available for livestock, but there is no potable water. Visitors must bring their own water or filter creek water using a wilderness-type water filter. Campsites are well shaded by a Ponderosa pine and birch forest. One site has a pull-through driveway.

Key Whispering Pine Horse Camp Regulations

  1. Horse campers must use Certified Weed-Seed-free hay.
  2. Horses must be kept in stalls provided and may not be tethered or picketed outside of stalls. No high-lines or portable corrals please.
  3. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  4. Prevent the spread of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally.
  5. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles and must be attended. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  6. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
  7. Avoid problems with bears by securing food and scented items in a vehicle or other bear-proof locker.
