Blue Bay Campground

Blue Bay Campground sits on the southern shore of 253-acre Suttle Lake along Highway 20 in the Deschutes National Forest. Blue Bay is generally quieter than the other 2 campgrounds at the lake. Also, it is more forested than the others. Fishing for kokanee, rainbow trout, brown trout, and whitefish is popular. Boating, water skiing, and windsurfing are also favorite activities. A launch ramp is found at the campground. Hikers and mountain bikers take off on the 3.2-mile Suttle Lake Shoreline Trail. Beautiful views of Mt. Washington can be enjoyed from many places around the lake.

Blue Bay Campground has 24 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Seven campsites have pull-through driveways. Three of the campsites are doubles. Eight campsites are along the lake's shore. A forest of Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir spreads shade throughout most of the campground. While most sites can be reserved ahead of arrival, some are available as first-come, first-served sites.
