South Shore Campground

South Shore Campground is beside 253-acre Suttle Lake along Highway 20 in the Deschutes National Forest. Fishing is good at the lake for kokanee, rainbow trout, brown trout, and whitefish. The lake is also popular for boating, water skiing, and windsurfing. A launch ramp is found at the campground. Hikers and mountain bikers like to explore the 3.2-mile Suttle Lake Shoreline Trail. Stunning views of Mt. Washington can be enjoyed from many places around the lake.

South Shore Campground has 38 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Twelve of the campsites have pull-through driveways. A surrounding forest of Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir provides good shade for the campsites. Many are along the lake's shore and all campsites have views of the lake. While most sites can be reserved ahead of arrival, some are available as first-come, first-served sites.
