Dog Lake Campground

Dog Lake Campground is about a 26-mile drive from Lakeview, southwest of Drews Reservoir. Dog lake is popular for both fishing and bird-watching. Anglers have good luck fishing for large mouth bass, perch, crappie and catfish.

Only non-motorized boats and those with electric motors are permitted on the lake. A 5 PHM speed limit governs the lake. Across the lake from the campground is a day use area with a launch ramp and docks. Bird-watchers often spot various ducks and geese, pelicans, and other waterfowl.

Dog Lake Campground has 15 first-come, first-served campsites among the trees near the shore of the lake. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs. Reportedly there are horse corrals and hitching posts available (call to confirm). There is no potable drinking water at the campground.
