Campbell Lake Campground

Notice: The 2018 Watson Creek Fire burned through most of the forest around Campbell Lake and did considerable damage to forest land at neighboring Deadhorse Lake. Recovery has been slow.

Campbell Lake Campground rests beside a high mountain lake in the Fremont-Winema National Forest. Campbell Lake is 32 miles southwest of Paisley. Only non-motorized or electric motor boats are permitted on the lake. The speed limit is 5 MPH. A boat ramp is located along the shore. Fishing is very good for rainbow trout. Campers enjoy swimming, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

Campbell Lake Campground has 18 first-come, first-served campsites among the trees around the shore of the lake. Two of the campsites are for tents. The others can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. There is no piped drinking water at the campground. Garbage service runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Attractions near Campbell Lake Campground: At the lake find a boat ramp. Only non-gas-motorized boating is permitted. Enjoy fishing from shore or boat. Head out horseback riding, mountain biking, or hiking on local trails. Consider heading over to Dead Horse Lake. Hike on the Lakes Trail or the Lower Lakes Trail.
