Paulina Lake Campground

Paulina Lake is within the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, south of Bend. The 5-mile-diameter Newberry Caldera encircles both Paulina Lake and its neighbor, East Lake. Motorized and non-motorized boats are permitted on the lake, but there is a 10 MPH speed limit. A boat launch ramp is located within Paulina Lake Campground, while a second ramp is found in the adjacent day-use area. Anglers fish the lake for rainbow trout, brown trout and Kokanee salmon. A hiking trail around the lake connects to other trails in the area. A footbridge over Paulina Creek leads to Paulina Lake Lodge.

Paulina Lake Campground is located on the lake's southwest shore. Most of the 66 campsites are close to the lake, looking out over a marshy shoreline. There is no beach access from the campground. Thirty-eight of the campsites are designated for tents, while the other 38 can accommodate tents and RVs or trailers of various lengths. There are no hook-ups. Reservations that include a Friday or Saturday night must be for at least 2 nights; holiday weekend reservations that include a Friday or Saturday night require a 3-night stay.
